ABOUT SHARON HOBBS
Rev. Dr. Sharon D. Hobbs is a pastor, preacher, teacher, author, and community leader whose ministry is rooted in the transforming power of God’s Word. A proud African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) clergywoman, she faithfully serves as Pastor of Hurst Chapel AME Church in Riviera Beach, Florida, where her ministry blends preaching, teaching, and community outreach.
Dr. Hobbs, a retired United States Army veteran, brings discipline, leadership, and a global perspective to every assignment. She holds advanced degrees in theology and ministry, including a Doctor of Ministry. Through her work with the AME Board of Examiners and the South Conference Women in Ministry (WIM), she is committed to raising up the next generation of leaders.
As President of a Community Development Corporation, she spearheads projects that address her community's spiritual, educational, and economic needs. Her vision includes property development, fundraising, and programs that uplift families and strengthen the church’s witness.
PHILOSOPHY OF SHARON HOBBS
Dr. Hobbs is also a Christian author whose works include Blessed Already! Already Blessed!, The Blessing of the Lord Maketh Rich, With Expectation of Glory, I’m Hungry for Holiness, and Catch Me If You Can: I’m Living in the Overflow. Her writings inspire believers to walk in holiness, embrace their purpose, and live in the overflow of God’s blessings.
Her philosophy is simple yet powerful: we are blessed to be a blessing. Whether preaching from the pulpit, leading community initiatives, or writing inspiring books, Rev. Dr. Sharon D. Hobbs remains dedicated to glorifying God, serving His people, and advancing His Kingdom.
